I hope a lot of White Sox fans show up in support.
Back in ‘05 I was living in the Bay Area watching the White Sox steamroll to be WS champs and watching celebration coverage on Superstation WGN (well before becoming WGN America, which I hate). They were interviewing fans and one guy through tears of joy asked Cub fans to come celebrate with them since it was ~88 years since they won it all.
I will never forget that.
Plus the city could use some “come together” time with each other.
